Course Details

  • Face-to-face learning – 32 hours (taught over 4 days)

  • Online component – approx. 5 hours

  • The course runs over two weekends, with a 2-week break in between.

  • There is a required pre-learning online component that needs to be completed prior to starting your first in-person session, and video homework that is to be submitted prior the second weekend.

  • PREREQUISITES - high intermediate and above, minimum of 12 months of active pole training, aerial inverts both side, butterfly, flatline, leg hangs, shoulder mount & superman

  • You will receive your assessment on the final day of the course, and if successful you will be ‘Passed to Shadow’. There is a shadow program and workbook to complete post-course, that must be submitted within 3 months to receive our full Pole Instructor Accreditation.

Lou Landers

Head Instructor

Lou has been with Pole Divas since 2006 and has been teaching since 2007. She has had an extensive background in dance and performing, has a diploma in performing arts and musical theatre, and Cert 3 in fitness and aerobics. Lou also did a 2-year stint with Disney's special events company overseas. Since finding pole, Lou has taught, competed, performed, and judged all over the world. She currently teaches and coaches within the Pole Divas studios. In 2021 Lou was given the role of Head Instructor for Pole Divas, overseeing recruitment, training, and team management.

Kennetta Hutchens

Guest Presenter

Kennetta founded Pole Divas in 2004 and has recruited, trained, and employed well over 100 pole instructors. Pole Divas prides itself on leading the industry with its comprehensive training program and syllabus. Kennetta was awarded the inaugural Pole Industry Hall of Fame award in 2022 for her contribution to the industry. Today Kennetta still heads the Pole & Aerial Divas franchising team and owns the successful inner-city Richmond studio.

Grace Hibbs

Master Trainer

Grace is a dedicated pole dance instructor and physiotherapist with a strong focus on biomechanics and injury prevention. With her extensive knowledge in these areas, she is passionate about helping her students build the strength and skills necessary for pole dancing. Through personalised training programs, Grace aims to enhance their performance while ensuring they remain injury-free, guiding them in their fitness journeys with care and expertise. Her commitment to both the art of pole dance and the science of physical wellness makes her a valuable resource for aspiring dancers.

Gracie Demos

Master Trainer

Gracie has been teaching with Pole Divas for over 13 years and has an extensive dance training background including full time training to gain an advanced diploma in dance, as well as generous professional experience as a performer, teacher and choreographer. Gracie is an instructor who is passionate about technique and artistic expression through movement and styling and loves to develop these in great detail with students. During her time in the pole industry Gracie has accumulated over 15 titles ranging from state, national and international championships

Mischka

Master Trainer

Mischka has been teaching at Pole Divas for 10 years and has completed a master's degree in Exercise Rehabilitation. After graduating she worked in the neuro rehab field as an exercise physiologist before deciding to teach full-time at Pole Divas where she loves applying her rehab and body knowledge to her classes. She has won many major and minor titles in her career as a professional pole dancer, but most notably is the winner of Miss Pole Dance Australia 2020.

Caroline

Master Trainer

Caroline, a seasoned pole dancer of 12+ years, captivates audiences across Australia with her iconic shows and renowned choreography. Her strength and flexibility shine on stage, and she leads specialized workshops nationally and internationally. Invited to compete in the prestigious Pole Icon contest, she stands among the industry's elite. Since her 2017 MS diagnosis, Caroline's commitment to health and fitness has intensified. Leveraging diverse sports expertise, she offers personalized training, pole dance sessions, stretch coaching, yoga classes, and specialized workshops. With a wealth of experience, she also judges competitions and delivers stellar performances in the pole dance realm.

Julia Vo

Master Trainer

Julia is a pole dance instructor and physiotherapist with a unique blend of expertise in movement and health. Combining her physiotherapy knowledge with her passion for pole dance, Julia is dedicated to providing her students with the tools to achieve their goals safely. Her classes focus on proper technique, injury prevention, and creating an inclusive environment for individuals of all fitness levels. Committed to fostering self-confidence and personal growth, Julia promotes pole dance as a powerful tool for self-care and empowerment.
